Product Owner checkout funnel

Are you the Product Owner who will strengthen our AIR team? The Product Owner within our Product Teams is the one who works intensively with the commercial teams and other stakeholders within Otravo. You will work on the development, implementation and analysis of the various websites and applications. Increasing conversion and customer loyalty is the most important focus area.

What will you be doing?

 

As Product Owner (PO) checkout funnel you are responsible for creating an optimal customer experience in the checkout process. This process starts when the customer has found their tickets and continues until payment. During this process, you can offer the customer extra services but at the same time you will take on the challenge to keep the user experience at a high level, by keeping it as simple as possible for the customer. You will need to understand the customer, collect and analyse data and set up AB tests to fine-tune this funnel.

 

You are responsible for the checkout funnel of all our brands. This means that customer needs may vary by region. We expect you, as a PO, to have a vision on how to create the best customer experience. As a PO, you are aware of the latest market developments, you are creative and eager to learn. In short, you will work with us to build the most innovative airline ticket platform!

 

The Product Teams work from a strong Agile conviction with little overhead, fast time-to-market and high quality. And always putting the customer first. We use experiments to find out what our customers really want and are constantly working to convert these lessons into working software. We do this as Product Team and as Team Otravo.

As a PO, you will develop the product visions together with the stakeholders, based on customer needs and business goals. You will transfer this vision to the developers and designers and are responsible for putting these in the right priority on the Product Backlog as User Stories. It is your job to ensure that the User Stories are realised and have a positive impact on the conversion in a controlled way. Besides the website, there are other products that help us to assist the customer as optimally as possible. These products can vary from our midoffice-implementations, data science products or improving our search & booking engine. 

You are able to formulate and achieve clear goals. You do this together with your teams, and are responsible for the design, development and management (you build it, you run it, you love it). As a Product Owner, you play a pivotal role in realising our ambition to become one of the largest online ticket providers in Europe.

What are your tasks and responsibilities?

  • You are passionate about our customers and are constantly looking for ways to improve their experience on our websites
  • Creating and maintaining a Product Roadmap with business priority and a prioritised Product Backlog
  • Leading and improving the product development process based on Scrum with the Scrum teams
  • You improve the websites based on clearly formulated goals with high commercial impact
  • Intensive collaboration with the commercial teams, fellow Product Owners, developers and designers
  • You develop and carry out A/B experiments for conversion optimisation
  • The point of contact for and analysing problems on our websites and solving them with the teams

What skills do you have?


  • At least three years of work experience in a similar position within the e-commerce domain
  • You have proven experience and knowledge in the area of high traffic websites
  • At least one completed HBO or university course
  • Strong commercial focus and ability to organise activities on it
  • Experience in the travel industry is a strong advantage
  • Data-driven, customer-oriented, proactive, creative and innovative
  • Knowledge in the field of data science is an advantage
  • Able to work both independently and in teams; good communication skills
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Experience working in an Agile developing environment
